For the last decade my day job has revolved around abseiling and the trades. I have repelled off buildings and manned lifts, scaffolds, and staging. I’ve painted, cleaned, pointed, repaired, welded and just about everything else you can think of while hanging from a rope. I’ve trained and consulted and made a living pretty far up off of the ground. These days, like the last several years, I find myself looking up more often than not. Both literally, with my camera and eyes pointed to the sky and figuratively, to the amazing people that I see and work with. It never ceases to amaze me how resilient people can be, and how much is going on all around us. While we all tend to stare at our feet or our phones so often, I hope this can be a reminder to look up. Or… maybe this’ll go right over some heads.
